This one comes from Jacob the Goon.

What is your favorite non-mainstream sport (ie. not football, baseball, or basketball) to both watch and play?

My favorite non-mainstream sport to play is probably volleyball. As far as watching goes, for some reason I really like curling when it's on during the Olympics.

Actually, handball is really run to play also. And I don't count ping pong.

Don't know if soccer is considered mainstream in America but it's my favorite, watching and playing! Also rowing is a guilty pleasure of mine during the summer olympics.

Are tennis and ping pong main stream? I love watching and playing both.

September 12, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterSabal

What is Jai-Alai?

Duh...CrossFit. Also, does American Ninja Warrior count as a sport?

Competitive food eating - chili category. 3 divisions chili, chili cheese fries, and chili on spaghetti (Skyline).

DOING: Maybe mountain biking. I like a lot of other obscure sports - dodgeball, racquetball, volleyball, badminton - but don't really get a chance to play them much anymore. I'm hoping one of my boys gets into tennis - I dig that too.

WATCHING: CrossFit Games, baby! Doh, I'm such a fanboy.

Forgot ping pong - ping pong is sweet.

Swimming, softball, gymnastics, ice skating

Obviously longboarding to both watch and compete in. Lately I've been playing and watching a lot of disc golf too

September 12, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterJack

Jack, what's disc golf like compared to ultimate frisbee as far as entertainment goes?

Mel, badminton is really fun. My high school gym teacher, Mr. Zill, was a god. Alan, Murley, and all the Foley kids can attest.

Pat, Chili on spaghetti is something I've never heard of.

I like to watch track and field, ice skating, Tour de France in July, volleyball and Ninja Warrior.

September 12, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterCrystal

Chili on spaghetti is the way they do it in Cincinnati. I know, it's weird.

September 12, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterMel

Chili on spaghetti sounds amazing, though

The Olympics. How could I forget the Olympics? That is a collection of less popular sports that is a really exciting watch.
