Schedule Update: Wednesdays and Weekends

This is a reminder that this Wednesday will be our first parents-only team workout at 6:30 pm, immediately following our mobility session. We had a lot of success with this in the 2015 era, and want to bring it back on a weekday in attempts to avoid travel and such. The 5:30 pm mobility session is still on as usual, and we are also doing a 10 am mobility session. So here's the official Wednesday breakdown:


10 am - mobility/makeup

5:30 pm - mobility/makeup

6:30 pm - parents team workout

This weekend is going to be a little tricky for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and I'll let you guys know about that asap. Expect a babies and regular workout early Saturday morning, one morning one on Sunday (maybe 10 am), and two sessions on Monday (10 am and 5:30 pm). But again, I'll keep you guys posted. Normal weekends will be one session Saturday morning (kids team workout) and one session on Sunday morning (mobility/makeup for everyone). I'm definitely looking forward to this parents session, though. I hope we get a good turnout.

Wednesday Mobility/Technique Primer

The running did not look all that great yesterday, so we are going to spend a good amount of time at Wednesday's sessions going over technique and mobility to go along with it. I also plan on including film analysis at some point. Here's a video I did from a few years ago that gives some of the basics.

Pose is a simple concept but one of the most difficult things to get on a consistent basis. We do a lot of our Pose coaching on the fly and in the confines of a small window during a session, so it should serve well to see a visual and not be rushed with it. It's important that all of you, especially the parents, make it to either 10 am, 1:30, or 6 pm tomorrow. There appears to be a lot of running in the forecast and Wednesday's session should be a good primer for it.

Also, if anyone feels like they need extra practice on the side, just let me know and I'd be happy to work either before or after a session.

Schedule Update: Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday

Just a few notes for those new to the Summer.

First, tomorrow (Wednesday) is a mobility/technique day. We will be doing lots of mashing and technique work, but no workout. The times, as of now, are 10 am, 1:30 pm, and 6 pm. We will be playing around with Wednesday's times for the next week or so to see how many sessions we need.

Saturday and Sunday schedules are also different. Saturdays are team workouts at 11 am for the kids. Sundays are also at 11 am for the kids, but is a mobility/technique session. At noon, the parents have their team workout.

On both Saturday and Sunday, our new "Babies" session goes at 10 am. So here is what it looks like.

12 noon (parents team workout)

Should be plenty of mashing to do after consecutive days of burpees, wallballs, and handstand push-ups
