Champions Club Education Network: Volunteer Tutoring Opportunity

We are currently looking for experienced, successful upper level high school and college students for either a one-time or a weekly tutoring opportunity!

About

This is a physical fitness and academic tutoring program held in local schools. Studies have shown that physically active students are more successful in school, and that physical activity temporarily enhances brain function. Our goal is to make an impact for at risk students through two avenues to benefit their health and give them a better chance to succeed.

Volunteer Description

Volunteers and students work out under an experienced coach's supervision for approximately 20-30 minutes. Then volunteers work with one or two assigned students for approximately 30-40 minutes. Volunteers may also carpool from the Champions Club. Membership in the Champions Club is not necessary, but encouraged.

The first program is being held May 9th - June 10th, 2016 at Detroit's Central High School on Mondays and Wednesdays from approximately 3:30-4:45 PM.
