"Get back Tyler. I'mma let you lick 'em...I got a pile of gators in the boat, I'm tickled to death." - Bruce Mitchell from Swamp People spoken to his trusty deckhand, Tyler (the dog).

Bruce and Tyler have been fishing alligators in the swamps of Hammond, Louisiana for over a decade. Since the show's inception in 2010, this duo has become a fan-favorite for their devotion both to each other and to their profession. Bruce stormed through the swamps in his overalls tagging gator after gator with Tyler by his side. Each gator Bruce would catch would also earn Tyler a Zebra Cake treat.

Unfortunately, the Swamp nation received some sad news yesterday. Tyler the dog passed away at the ripe old canine age of 13. Much like the passing of Mitchell Guist two years ago, this loss will keep swampers' hearts heavy for quite some time. - especially by the likes of Jay Junkin, who saw Bruce as a role model of sorts.
