One-Year Anniversary: Bethany

One year ago, on a bright sunny day, a small funnel cloud whipped thru the garage doors, picking up one of the black mats, smashing it into Kuiper’s brand-new shiny caddy. It just so happens that it was Bethany Clapp’s first day here. Coincidence?? Hmmm.. The fact that Bethany survived a whole week here after trying to sneak her Fitbit in her sports bra tells you something. There’s just something about her that we all have grown to love.
From wearing a construction vest because she forgot a shirt, to coming out of the bathroom with her legs thru her t-shirt arm holes because she forgot her shorts…. She is the type of person that finds a way to work out rather than finds excuses not to. Due to a recent job change that has her missing more workouts than she’d like, her presence is missed.
She adds her own little sass to the 4:30 crew, added some new words to our vocab, and can be heard yelling out a “here we go” to keep us motivated during a tough workout. No matter how much I’m dying, it always puts a smile on my face.
She does 265lb deadlifts, strings double-unders and charges her cell phone in the gym, which btw, has got to be my favorite Bethany moment ever…mainly because the look on Chris’s face when he realized what the extension cord was hooked to. She is hands down one of my favorite people here and I think everyone would agree with me that she is a great addition to the Champions Club.
