A Picture is Worth a Hundred Words or So: Everybody's All American
Chris Sinagoga | Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 7:32PM Just about every post I write that is an Editorial-type thing has multiple meanings to it, and the Athlete of the Summer Feature Series is no exception. Cecilia's post was titled Everybody's All American; "Everybody's" can be read as possessive (she's our All American) or as a contraction (everybody is All American). From the post:
During lockdown I kept thinking, "Mrs. Van and Evan need to meet Cecilia's standard." They, and the rest of you, have done just that. Now I'm thinking, "the next Cecilia coming in needs to meet Mrs. Van and Evan's standard." It won't be the high-end kid doing their thing over there while the rest of us Muggles do our thing over here. There is only one way forward for them: the "Cecilia Way" will just eventually become the "Only Way."
Keeping that in mind, here's what a typical Tuesday morning looks like right now.
Cecilia is doing sprints for soccer; Mrs. Gloria is doing sprints for God knows what. Both of them know exactly why they are laughing, and, honestly, so do you.
