Athlete of the Week: David Saporito

CrossFit is about developing a blended capacity for varied modalities, and man did we have that on the metcon side of things this week: medium deadlift and long run on Sunday, light weight high rep Olympic lifts on Monday, light thrusters and short sprint on Wednesday, holding still on Thursday, and medium weight Olympic lifts and ring dips on Friday in an absolute burner. To quote Coach Glassman about having the capacity to do a 4-minute Elizabeth:

If you're less than a weightlifting gymnast with the lungs of a porpoise, your times will reflect as much.

Coach allow me to introduce to you one David Saporito.

While Sap does not have a 4-minute Elizabeth or a 2-minute Randy, the kid's capacity in anything CrossFit can throw at us is truly impressive.

While Sap is one of those people that seems like he's been here forever (10-year anniversary is technically this October), this is really only his 3rd Summer of full-time attendance. So far this is looking like Sap's most consistent Summer to date, including 2017 when he earned his banner. If I am doing the math here correctly, I believe that means that we will be seeing the fittest version of David Saporito in the coming months. For now, great work this week my man!
