Monday Conversation: Bacon (Not That Bacon)

When you think of the word bacon, you think of that delecious food that goes with everything. Bacon and ranch. Bacon and veggies. Bacon and peanut butter. Peanut butter? Yes, peanut butter. Try it.
But there is a certain population who thinks of something entirely different when they hear the word bacon.
John U. Bacon is a professor at the University of Michigan (history I think) and is also an established writer with a cult following stemming mostly from his 2011 book, Three and Out, which chronicled the Rich Rodriguez years of Michigan Football and included unprecidented access to the team, the coach, and administration.
He also has a blog where he writes mostly about college football. My dad sent me a link the other day that I thought would be cool to share with this audience.

Is there anything you follow, sports-related or not, that you believe has steered too much in the direction of money and away from quality?
