Athlete of the Week: Tea'
Chris Sinagoga | Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 5:37PM We are in our second-to-last week of Summer 2020, and this week's top honor goes to Tea' Rettig.
Tea' started off the week on terrible terms with me; during Sunday's mountain climber/kb swing team workout she was partnered with me, but then traded me in favor of Lulu, and their team ended with the highest total. Luckily she made up for her heartless treachery the rest of the week. On Monday she beat Madison on a few of the runs and ended with a total of 89 strict presses. Wednesday's mile run/sit-up misery was her worst showing of the week and she still pur up one of the top girls times. Thursday and Friday is where Tea' really stood out to me; She did a 9:13 Helen with a 16k kettlebell and rope pull-ups and on Friday she finally was able to get a consistent handstand forward roll and even a few steps of handstand walking. And while it technically shouldn't count, she stuck around for some basketball drills after mobility yesterday and was able to get the footwork on curls to the left after a few tries.
