Athlete of the Week: Aaron Sexton

To kick things off for Summer 2022, our first Athlete of the Week goes to Aaron Sexton.

Picking up right where he left off last Summer has not really been Aaron's thing in the past; usually it takes him a few weeks to get things rolling. But, for whatever reason, Aaron has really been locked in since Murph on Memorial Day. This week he got his Summer off to a great start:

  • Best time on GHD sit-up/deadlift
  • 200-lb. 5-rep front squat with room to spare
  • Best time on 400m run/thruster/sdhp
  • Great pacing on 400m run tempo stuff
  • Kept pace with Lulu on runs today

Everyone in CrossFit will have strengths and weaknesses, and oddly enough most of Aaron's best workouts this week would usually fall under his weakness area: no box jumps, no pull-ups, no double unders, no short sprints. If this is a sign of things to come, then Whoa Nelly... Summer number 8 might be the best one for Aaron yet.

Congrats, Aaron!!! Totally noticed a step up in your workouts the last few weeks, which is piled on top of an already solid base. Can't wait to see what the summer brings your way!
