I did a Nutrition one like this a while ago, and since our mobility days have turned into more open gyms and individual time, I thought this would be a good idea.
If you didn't know already, I get all of my mobility stuff from Kelly Starrett. He used to own San Francisco CrossFit and is the reason most everyone involved in physical activity has, at some point, grabbed a roller, smashed with a lacrosse ball, or done couch stretch. He even visited the Champions Club back in Summer 2013. Great dude, relentless worker, and a true innovator when it comes to physical therapy and movement practice.
Since August 2010 Kelly has put out free videos almost every single day to carry on his belief that every human being should be able to perform basic maintenance on themselves. So I'll let him take it from here.
Rebuilding the arches pt. 1 and pt. 2
Ankle joint w/lacrosse ball (I was actually present for the filming of this one)
Calves and Achilles Voodoo band
Voodoo band for knee extension
First ever couch stretch video
Upper back double lacrosse ball
Sink stretch (I think this post is how Mel found us)
Elbow search on The Ready State
Positions for neck and shoulders
In addition to Kelly changing the status quo on mobility and body maintenance, he has been one of three coaches (in addition to Carl Paoli and Dr. Romanov) who have influenced my thinking the most when it comes to coaching points in CrossFit outside of the core Coach Glassman stuff. Here's the two videos that have stood the test of time the most:
A Language to Diagnose pt. 2 (CFJ) - changed how I view CrossFit and doing workouts; also features OHS video I posted in Mrs. Van's AOTS article
Movement Hierarchy - the most organized way I've seen movement categoriized and gave me a blueprint for how to scale up or scale down
