Campus Improv Eats: Noah 5/9

When Noah Heide went back to school after Christmas break he dediced to lock into his nutrition. So we went over basic Zone blocks and balance; since then he has lost 15 pounds and all of his strength lifts went up at Adrian's weight room testing after spring ball. Now he's carrying on the momentum and sent me this meal earlier today:

Here's the breakdown:

  • Protein: chicken
  • Carbohydrate: Broccoli and an apple (his mommy probably cut it up for him)
  • Fat: Cashews

Verdict. This one is a win. Honestly, the meal pictures Noah has been sending are so boring it makes me happy. Food doesn't have to be mixed together intoa perfect recipe or even taste great; just find something that came from an animal, a few things that look like plants, and a handful of things that are protected by shells. In this one, Noah is a little low on Carbohydrate compared to Protein, but flexibility is a big part of the Zone; he feels really full after eating like half of this, and he's been seeing great results on less carbs and more fat. So keep rolling with it.

Next time. Do this before a workout (maybe an hour or so) and see how you perform.
