Coach's Corner







The double unders haven't been looking too hot in the warm-up lately (lucky for you guys they haven't been in too many workouts). When a coach tells you to tighten up it can be a bit confusing because you can't see how bad you're flailing around.
"What do you mean coach? I'm getting the rope around twice and I'm doing it like 20 times in a row- that should be good right?"
Here's a bad example of what broken double unders look like, courtesy of yours truly earlier this summer.
Notice how much change is going on at the lower back. Instead of looking like a slinky, the athlete's spine should stay rigid so they look like a stick figure jumping up and down. Keep ya butt engaged people (and me).
