Fine Umbridge, You Can Have This One

Shakes sent me this the other day:
...........
The gym will be closed until further notice. The Champions Club sessions will not. How, when, and where these sessions will take place is still to be determined.
Money. All payments after March will be suspended. So if you already paid for March, you're PayPal thing will be adjusted. If not, I'll suspend it once the March payment goes through.
Campus Improv. I will post a workout sometime in the morning on a 3-day on, 1-day off cycle consistent with the main site. It will be posted on the Build a Champion page. There will be a few different versions listed for you guys to do with minimal or no equipment. I also post scaling notes for every workout on CrossFit.com, so those might be good to look at to help get an idea of what you might want to get out of any given workout.
Post your results. Under the comments section of that Build a Champion post just say what you did and what your time was. This is something that takes you 14 seconds but goes a long way towards keeping our community connected. Everyone here likes you (even Lira, Dillon, Mrs. Nevarez, and Mrs. Tara). If Owen Munk is keeping up on his fitness by himself, I guarantee Mrs. Hana would be proud of him and want to know about it.
Pictures. Send pictures to the Drop Box. I'll post them up on the workout page.
Write some stuff. I always find writing helps me critically think about what is going on, and maybe you can find the same thing. I would love to feature any guest posts you might have about just about any topic other than Nick Bewick's lawn.
Equipment. If I could suggest one piece of equipment to buy for one of our high school athletes, it would be a jump rope. For an adult/college kid, I would suggest a set of rings. Nothing from the gym is available to be borrowed at the moment.
Stay up with this site. This is a strange business because the communication is always A-B. Meaning if you (B) want to know something, you just text me (A). But if you want a discount on your burrito bowl, you don't have access to ask the CEO of Qdoba. I like the direct commuication here and I'm not going to change that. I'm just asking you check the website first. This main page is going to be my method for getting words out that you should hear. That's why the workouts are going to stay on Build a Champion.

So this is where I'm at right now. There is obviously no part of me that wants to lock the gym. I'm not worried about money or about you guys not coming back or anything like that. It's just simply about me getting my fix. I love where the Champions Club is at and I love every second I'm coaching here. I'm a junkie who needs to yell at Josh, Lindsey and Coach Casey a few times a day to make me feel good. To say something is not right with me would be a gross understatement.
One of the quotes Dr. Romanov cites all the time is the famous Francis Bacon line, "Nature, to be commanded, must be obeyed." To think I'm going to single-handedly defy the laws of this virus and the rules the decision-makers are trying to set in place is... to be honest... very appealing to me. For like 15 seconds. Then I understand how it would undermine things responsible people are trying to do. And, also, it probably wouldn't work.
I want to respect the virus and the restrictions it presents because I know that's how we move past it when the time is right. I also want to respect the people who are making decisions way more important than how many pull-ups to do. I think there is a way to do that while still keeping our community's momentum going. Doing Campus Improv workouts is a good start. Stay posted kids!
