Thanksgiving Workout 2022 Recap

I suppose it would be good to start with a note about the shirts.
I realized in July that the shirts weren't going to be done by the Summer, and the longer it dragged on the more I figured it would be good to do them at either Thanksgiving or Christmas. More on that in a sec.
So I was faced with a delima in my head: community or exclusivity? I want to start decreasing the number of Summer shirts that get passed out - I don't need to be ordering 80+ shirts when I break even during the Summer, and just about everyone has a shirt from some point in time if they need to represent. But this Summer, especially, I felt that everyone deserved something. So the original idea was 40 Summer shirts (more on that in a sec too), longsleeves for everyone, and put them all in a drawstring bag. Eventually I settled on leaving the bags for just the Babies/Double-A session because they are going to outgrow a shirt anyway.
Once that was settled, the decision became who got which shirt. For the Summer shortsleeve, it was partially on attendance and partially on how you actually did. There was a lot of difficult decisions at the top of the attendance board to leave out, as well as people right on the fringe of the low end that really put in great work when they were here. I don't mind talking with anyone individually if they want clarification. And as for the longsleeve shirts, the first part was easy: everyone who was on the Summer roster. But then there were also some people on the fringe, and once that fringe enters the picture it opens up 12 years worth of people who could make an argument for deserving one; I included Saporito, Laura, and Alyssa because they came back full-time for the fall. And also Mrs. Leze because she's almost standing now and Mrs. Gloria because she's Mrs. Gloria. Slick got one too.
And this is where the Christmas vs. Thanksgiving debate came in: I'm not going to order something for every possible person that has been important to the Champions Club, but I also don't want someone to be standing at the session while everyone else has some gear. I decided I wanted to preserve the communal chaos of 90something people and food at Christmas, and I kept Thanksgiving invite-only to make the shirts and bags happen better.
We ended up with 58 people in total this morning: a beautiful blend of Babies, Double-A, high schoolers, college kids, and parents.
Our roots run deep you guys, I don't know what else there is to say.

Big ups to Aaron, Cecilia, and Dillon for testing out three versions of this workout that didn't happen (all involving Turkish Get-ups), Dillon for giving me the idea of "loading up the plate" which led to weighted planks, David Sap for doing a test-run of today's workout on Monday night, Cecilia and Bubs for helping with the bags and shirts, and whoever brought in those delicious cookies!
