New Kids on the Block + 1-Year Anniversary

We have three New Kids that are in with the group now.
First up is Mrs. Burton.
Mrs. Burton is the mom of our two newest members of the middle school session, Kyron and Kendall, and decided to do her first Fundamentals session on September 2. I've been experimenting with a different format for Fundamentals recently so Mrs. B has been jumping in and out between group and individual sessions for the past week. She's in full-time with the group now and appears to be blending in really well, both with her attendance and her technique.
Next up we have Scott and Brett Leonard.
Brett (front) is an 8th grader and Scott (back) is a 7th grader; both of them play for the Hit Dogs baseball organization along with Koltin and Nick Krstich. Mr. Krstich recommended these two back during the lockdown and we've finally organized time for them to come and join. Baseball plays a big part in both of their lives, as they travel across the country for training frequently, so their attendance might not be on point just yet. Still, these two brother are long-term projects who seem very coachable and really athletic. Hopefully we'll see that project into good members of our team.
Welcome to the Champions Club all three of you!
On September 8 of last year, the high-haired hipster himself, Chris Schott, finished his last Fundamentals session with me and has been a pleasant disturbance in our group ever since.
Thankfully I abandoned the nickname "Shotty" I coined for him almost as soon as I tagged it, but other nicknames have stuck; mainly "Shat," thanks to Ethan's whiteboard antics. Either way, Schott has been arguably the most popular person in the gym over the last year. We saw him get his first handstand push-up, dress in shorts and a tanktop thinking we weren't going to run in November, and learn how to take himself past that redline in workouts like Fran and Helen.
Schott is in that Sabal/Mr. Carey class where their presence makes any session better, regardless of who else is in it. Hopefully we'll have him around at the Champions Club for many more years!
Thank you for everything my man!
