New Kid on the Block: Mici
Chris Sinagoga | Friday, April 8, 2022 at 2:40PM For a little over a year I have been hearing rumors about a 7th grade girl from afar named Mici. The stories came from Mr. Gjon, Mrs. Regine, Conamora, Lulu, and the rest of the soccer crew, claiming Mici was one we need to get in the Champions Club as soon as possible.
Well, on March 12, that finally happened. In the ensuing weeks Mici has attended a variety of sessions - mobility, weekend, after-school, later evening ones, packed houses, small groups - and made herself right at home in all of them. She picked up on movements very well, was receptive to coaching, especially centered around being overextended, and has shown no problem talking to anyone in the gym at any age.
There was only one thing left to do:
The Wall Test.
Conamora and Samantha did the honors and, being a stud goalie, Mici passed by whatever random standards the monkeys use to determine such things. Whether or not she will be able to stand up to a Sam Curtis Wall Test remains to be seen, but for now it looks like Mici will officially be part of the Monkey Exhibit. Welcome to the Champions Club kiddo!
