New Kids on the Block: Mya and CT

April has brought in a few new faces that are off to really good starts in their CrossFit career. First up is Chris Taylor (aka "CT"). As the Warren Rec camp wrapped up, I made my recruiting rounds for the Babies and Double-A sessions; while we picked up a good amount of kids for those groups, we also got a steal free agent signing.

Mr. Taylor is the father of London - a camp standout and new member of the Double-A session - and has been going strong since the beginning of the month. And when I say strong, I mean Mr. Bennis Dad Calves Strong.

He's also been improving his nutrition just as much as his workouts, and it's starting to show in his body and his cardio. When it's all said and done, we might have he entire Taylor family on board here, but for now we'll gladly take CT; hard worker and great attitude.

Ghosts of Champions Club Past: Mr. Bennis

...........

About a week after CT started coming in, Jaylee called me up, asking if her friend Mya could come in; Jaylee had been telling me about Mya for quite a while now, and it seemed the timing was finally right. Mya came in on that Sunday and has been in nearly every day since.

Mya's primary sport is soccer, but she also plays basketball (and Jaylee will probably pressure her into volleyball as well). In her short time here, Mya has shown a seriousness about her training that projects well for both her and the Lamphere girls group she travels with (Jaylee, Kate, and Faith). As she's only a sophomore, I think we'll see some great things in the next few years.
