Mind Vs. Body with Greg Amundson

Like the previous post about the pain face, we're focusing on how your mind can influence your body. One of the first bad boy CrossFitters ever, Greg Amundson, talks about how the way you carry your body can influence the way you perform. Check it out the CrossFit Experience with Greg Amundson on the CrossFit Journal. It's a little bit of a longer one, but definitely worth the watch and neccessary to understand the rest of this post.
A lot of this can seem like weenie BS, but take a second during a workout when you're feeling absolutely destroyed and try it out. Instead of resting with your head down all defeated-like, try and stay up. The goal is for you to look like you're not that tired and ready to take the WOD on, even if you don't quite feel that way..yet.
Check out this old man. Even though his hands are on his knees, his head is up and he's alert and ready to go when he needs to.
This is a common position during workouts. If you're in it, your body thinks that you can't do more and it's hard to get back into whatever movement you're supposed to be doing.
