I hope you guys aren't tired of Mrs. Gloria highlights, but this one I think deserves special mention. Back in August she had a GOOF during box jumps to two 45-lb. plates; after that I thought to myself I gotta be more careful with her.
Welp, after she showed off her jump ropes in November I had her running back and forth in the gym the very next session. She had done it before but more in a shuffling manner; that time was actual ball-of-foot falling and pulling. On the last round right when Aaron Sexton walked in the gym she completely bit it. Face-first into Dillon Sharp and Anto's name on the floor by the turf. I was running side-by-side with her and just didn't react in time to make any change in her fall. No blood but she bruised up her wrist and knee pretty bad.
Since then I've been debating on how important it is for her to be able to run; I don't any "science" to back it up, but I really can't think of anything more important in terms of balance or coordination, plus it's probably the one ability she'd want in an emergency. So after she healed up we got back to running. Yesterday she finished all 4 rounds of the run/sit-up/squat triplet without an incident. Here's round 3.
