New Kids on the Block: Trevor and Mr. Bettys

Our Rookie session is currently expanding at quite an epic rate, but there are a few New Kids who are going to be sprinkled into some regular sessions.

First we have Trevor Smith, who is part of The Family organization and also broke the record for the furthest travel distance to the gym: he's coming from Lansing. Trevor is a 7th grader and catches people's eye immediately with his height, but he has also been moving with a coordination rarely seen from kids his size.

So far Trevor's been coming in pretty consistently, and I would expect him to settle on 3 days a week regularly, and 4 on a good week - mostly at 11 am but jumping around some other sessions in the mix. His brother, Joey, has been on for two sessions and is also thinking about committing.

Just get that freaking shin vertical instead of posing for the camera!

Finally we have longtime-listener-first-time-caller Mr. Bettys, the devoted father to Madison and Makenna, who coincidentally held the previous record for driving distance before Trevor jumped on the ship.

Mr. Bettys is a former college football player, and a current teacher and coach at Utica Ford High School. He's coordinated, mildly encouraging, uninspired by nutrition, and sweats through two t-shirts; in other words he'll fit in with all you other dads.

All kidding aside, I've been waiting two years to get this dude on our roster and so far it's working better than I expected. He's a 1st round draft pick as far as culture fits go and I'm just praying he can make the driving situation work consistenly. As of now he's going to be mostly at that 11 am session.

Ghosts of Champions Club Past: a slightly more coordinated Mr. Andrew, maybe a touch of Mr. Anderson

I'm really excited to have both Trevor and Mr. Bettys as part of the crew. Welcome to the Champions Club!
