While half of the Champions Club went to Cecilia's soccer game a few weeks ago, none of us had the intention of leaving Oakland University with another Champions Club athlete. But the recruiting chops of Cecilia proved to be very... uh... efficient. As we were walking out of the stadium she goes, "Oh yeah, Chris, this is Jess Koje. I'm going to bring her to the gym tomorrow and then she's going to sign up for the Summer."

And that was that. Koje has only missed like 2 days since. The vote was a no-brainer; even grumpy ol' Mr. Robinson was on board.

In addition to playing soccer with Cecilia in this Summer league, she has other ties to the Champions Club; she played at Ford in high school, she is teammates with Paris at Lawrence Tech now, and I think she knows Shakes somehow, as does everyone.

Koje is coming off two knee injuries and is looking to keep her playing career going for as long as possible. So far she has been picking up on the movements very well and seems right at home with the crowd of hooligans at 4:30. If things are as they seem, we might be seeing a long-term addition here. Welcome to the Champions Club kiddo!
