- Coach Benny White, new head coach at Groves.
For those of you up on the local high school basketball scene, Coach West (who I played for at Foley) left Groves to take an assistant job at Henry Ford Community College. It was not looking good this summer as far as finding a replacement goes, but somehow we lucked into getting coach Benny White, former head coach at Detroit King and assistant at Eastern Michigan. He's also affiliated with The Family (which is how I know him), and he asked me to stay on the staff. I'm excited to learn from such a great coach.
