Athlete of the Week: Higgins

When Lauren came back from school in late May, she was what you might call a "short workout athlete." In any workout lasting longer than 10 minutes, she would take a strong early lead then somewhere along the line she would run out of fuel. Two months later, that Lauren doesn't exist.

Lauren Higgins has been one of the hardest working athletes this summer. Not just in the workouts, but in the half-hour basketball practice sessions before each session. Her hard work is really starting to pay off. This week she had four really good results:

10:24 on Monday's pull-up / HSPU / thruster triplet

19:11 on Tuesday's monstrosity

125 lbs on Thursday's max effort push jerk

26:39 on yesterday's endurance workout

Plus, she randomly got her first handstand push-up. WHAT??
