One thing I have noticed over the last 4 Summers is how well the Rookies have been moving in a short amount of time. This has a lot to do with 1) simplifying movement patterns and 2) recruiting a certain quality of athlete.
Josh Backos is right up there with Jennifer Banet and Madison Bettys as the best all-around Rookie we've seen during a Summer session. He's continued that momentum through the fall and yesterday worked up to a 120-lb. power snatch - which was hes second time ever doing this specific movement.
With him I wanted to see what his form would look like with heavier weight, which is why we did heavier power snatch instead of lighter full squat. Either way, great work kiddo!
