Danger of Diuretics

Senior Tribute 2016 by, Erika Banet comes out tonight tomorrow at 7 pm (Chris's mistake. My bad!)

We all know that water is important. It’s 70% of the Earth and about ~60% of the human body, and we are constantly being told that you MUST. DRINK. WATER. Which of course, I can’t dispute. We’ve already had posts about how water/lack thereof can affect you and your performance. This isn’t going to be an A & P lesson, but generally speaking, the more water you drink, the more you have to, well...pee. So if you’re going to the bathroom a lot (looking at you Mama V), generally you are feeling pretty confident that you’re drinking enough water. Unless, of course, you drink any of these.

If you’re a late bloomer like me, you haven’t started drinking coffee til recently. But, you have thus realized you need it before you will make any social interaction greater than a noncommittal grunt.

Well you shouldn't really be drinking this anyway...but I once saw the Blob come back from Little Caesars with a 2 liter of Pepsi.

All of these guys above have caffeine in them, which isn’t inherently good or bad. However, caffeine is a diuretic, which is any substance that promotes the production of urine (what a sexy word). So you’re going to the bathroom more and getting rid of more water - despite if you’ve drank enough or not. So if you need that caffeine kick, make sure you’re compensating with some H2O cause it’s gonna start getting hot soon.
