Pic of the Week: Monkey Exhibit at Volleyball
Chris Sinagoga | Monday, February 8, 2021 at 12:11PM On Saturday we managed to sneak a great supporting crowd out there to support Sarah Curtis and Jaylee Hall in their volleyball tournament. I caught Jaylee and Sarah's first games, which they both won. All joking aside, I watched Jaylee in the fall once and the difference from then to now is noticable even for someone who doesn't know much about volleyball. She is really looking good at the net. And speaking of looking good, Sarah freaking Curtis has some bounce! She reminds me of a baby kangaroo: not always sure where to go but when in doubt jump really high and really far and if there's something near you hit it as hard as you can.
After I left Conamora, Lulu, and HD came in to check out the late games. As a token of appreciation, the Hall parents asked for a nice picture they could post on their fridge to give Jalyee a little positive motivation to reach for the whole milk instead of the Edy's ice cream. But the monkey exhibit does not give into demands, even if they come polite.
The Champions Club has a long 6 years ahead of us with this crew at the steering wheel.
