Leader of the New School: Shakes Moving Up the Ladder

But earlier today an inside source close to the situation confirmed with me the deal has been finalized. So here's the post in its entirety.

When Katie Shakes first joined the gym she was a just-graduated-high-school assistant JV softball coach at Mott. Within two years she was named the head JV coach over there. Then in 2017 Brian the Trainer texted me asking if I knew anyone who'd be interested in coaching JV softball at Foley. A week later Shakes officially moved across town and over the fence to coach JV at Foley.
Now the JV is a thing of the past: Katie Shakes is the varsity softball coach at Bishop Foley!
The Foley softball team, of course, is notorious in local parts for having one particular mom who verbally berates coaches and umpires alike, spewing blame for that missed ground ball on anyone other than her precious baby. There have been hair-pulling fights in the stands, behind the scenes back-stabbing (figuratively and literally with a concession-stand fork), and even an unprofessional Whoopie cushion incident that can all be traced back to this helicoptress. Had Shakes done more homework before committing to this death trap, she would have found that said mom works out besides her on the regular.
Just say the word and Celebrity Death Match night at the Champions Club will be live in PPV!
Also, congratulations Shakes! I'm proud to see your patience and consistency paying off!

So happy for you Shakes!! As for that mom in the crowd, I think you know that she’s actually quite sweet natured, mild, and kind. Just a quiet spectator of her favorite sport and favorite daughter, super supportive of coaches, players, and umps alike😉 Seriously happy for you though! Go Ventures!!

So proud of you, Shakes. I know that parent that Chris is talking aviut. I have been the recipient of many verbal assaults from her. She has quite the violent swings. Stay safe out there!

Coach Shakes! I like it! Seeing as softball is my thing and my whole family has been bitten my the soccer bug I’m SO excited to see you & your team shine…maybe you can talk some sense into Nat & Elle…and I can take some pointers from that crazy Mom in the stands! 😉
