one-foot singles, alternating every few, ricky reps, 115-lb. cleans, mix between butterfly kip and regular kip. forearms were toast by the end.

Rough! This was mostly about the HPCs. I have been learning how to ‘bounce’ them, but had not really done that in a WOD. Well, if you miss the hip crease on the bounce, you hit the fleshy part of your thigh…and that is just painful. Broke HPCs into 2 sets for most rounds. Unbroken pull-ups until about round 8 – where the hotspot I had developed on my hand opened. Further proof that ‘it doesn’t have to be fun to be fun’.
