Workout of the Day - Sunday, February 26

Warmup

3 rounds

Forward roll

Squat

Handstand

Running jump rope

Hollow rock

 

WOD

Complete as many rounds as possible in 25 minutes of:

5 pull-ups (1-sec. pause on top)

10 burpees (w/ foam)

*split into teams of two, one partner works while the other partner runs 800m (or Econo Lodge, depending on person). Rotate upon return.

JZ and Mr. Z side by side today. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few intentional elbows flaring out.

Partner 1: Parking lot sprint then 2 power snatches

Partner 2: Parking lot sprint then 2 power snatches

JZ and Mr. Z with some good ol' fashioned post-workout trash talking. I'm assuming JZ didn't do his chores at home.

Mr. Carey's knees looked great on his front squat today. So we worked on the next thing - which were kis elbows. Him and JZ each held a stick below the elbows for the other person. This prevented the elbows from dropping and the upper back from rounding.

JZ and Robert at the 3:30 session. We took advantage of the Garage Door Weather and skipped ahead to this workout. Robert had his best workout as a Champions Club member - scoring one of the top rounds of the day. Passing of the torch? We'll have to wait and see.

JZ seemed to be back in the swing of things today posting more than 11 rounds. Let's hope this is a sign of things to come.

11 clean and jerks, 155 lb.

50-yard buddy carry

JZ and Ricky got to know each other much better than before this workout due to choosing the piggy-back method for buddy carries.
