Alex Schulz has been locked in since he joined late in the Summer. He's shown a really good coordination for all things lifting; today we spent a lot of time working on running technique. As you can see, bending at the waist is one of his big things, along with a slow cadence.

Kettlebell snatches are a weird movement that can takes a lot of reps to get right without thunping you on the forearm. The same principles can be accomplished with a dumbbell snatch, or one-arm kb swing, but every now and then it's not bad to throw a gimmick movement out there like this and see who can pick it up. Coach Casey got it right away.

Ashley Shulz (Alex's sister) has been a standout at the babies session for the past few weeks. I realized we hadn't done a lot of throwing lately, so we spent about 10 minutes just chucking the balls as hard as we could against the wall.
