Workout of the Day - Sunday, June 20

Warmup

5 rounds for time of:

25 wallballs

Slow sit-ups

L-sit

*split into teams of three, one person at each station, rotate after 25 wallballs

We went retro with the Double-A session and did the long jump/high jump progressions with the blue mat. Josh decided to mix both of them together.

Handstand hold w/ breath control

*split into teams of two, one partner works on the couplet while the other does a 300m med-ball run

Jessica hit this workout pretty hard today and will probably go easy tomorrow because of her districts soccer game on Tuesday (which she plans on hitting a gameday workout). Coach Casey was able to do most of the workout today, subbing extended planks for handstand holds and sit-ups for the run.

Sam Curtis has been doing really well in the workouts lately. We went over running technique for a long time with the middle school crew and she was matching a fast cadence with her falling.

Run 200 meters

*split into groups of two, one partner runs while the other practices either dips or pull-ups

**rest a few minutes between rounds then switch exercises for the next 12 minutes
