Workout of the Day - Shark Week 2024

Warmup

Run to Dorchester

 

WOD

3 rounds for max distance of:

2 minutes of Partner walking lunges

2 minutes of Over/Unders

2 minutes of Partner carry

2 minutes of Sharking relay

Partner carries were added this year and provided an extra opportunity for sharking. Mya, Tea, Mrs. Carey, and Mrs. Colleen were enthusiastic participants.

Complete as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of:

10 dumbbell hang power cleans

10 push-ups on dumbbells

Tea had herself a great workout today, using 30-lb. dumbbells on the cleans.

Complete as many rounds as possible in 30 minutes of:

Run 800 meters

20 strict toes to bar

*split into teams of two, both partners run at the same time, then toes-to-bar is split up however straegized

Tea' and Mrs. Jayme were paired up today and did partner blocked runs: one person stayed in front on the way out and they switched on the way back. Staying close like this keepsthe back person from reaching their foot out and the front person from letting the foot lag too far back.

275-lb. deadlift, 5 reps

10 burpees

For a lot of people, and for different reasons, deadlift holds were in the workout today instead of actual deadlift. Tea did a great job of keeping her upper-back from slouching forward.
